■ Epoch IV version in ocean blue-beige paint
From 1936 onwards, the German Reichsbahn Company put streamlined express train cars into service. Windows and doors were completely flush with the outer wall of the car, the side walls were extended beyond the actual end of the car and pulled down between the bogies. The “skirt cars” achieved a significant reduction in air resistance. In 1974, eight apron dining cars were given an ocean blue-beige paint job.

ラインゴールド３両セットとはひと味違う、タルキス塗装(下部トルコブルー＋上部クリーム色)特急編成を組む上で、この食堂車は、引き立て役になると思い、購入しました。
この食堂車は、国際急行列車の車長が長い客車と比べると、若干短いですが、それでも車端部が優美にカーブしていたり、調理室側の小窓と食堂室側の中型窓が規則正しくまとめられていて、上品なムードを醸し出す好ましい車両です。
この食堂車は、国際列車としても、ドイツ国内列車であっても、赤色の食堂車とは異なり地味な印象が漂いますが、好ましい食堂車としての窓配置や食堂車の表示によって、上品なイメージを引き立てています。
もちろん、フライシュマン社の製品だけに、美しい塗装と良好な走行性能が保障されています。
そうした意味で、お勧めの逸品です。
