The train as an environmentally friendly alternative to the plane is a pioneer in terms of sustainable means of transport. Since the end of 2016, ÖBB, one of Europe's largest transport companies, has been operating a dense and attractive night train service to popular travel destinations in many parts of Europe. ÖBB and Siemens Mobility, the manufacturer of rail vehicles, will put a total of 33 seven-car sets of the new "Nightjet" into operation over the next few years. They each consist of two seated carriages, three couchette carriages and two sleeping carriages, which impress with the highest level of comfort and high-quality interior design.
