The PIKO model of the 147 series appears in red paint with DB Cookie and the “bwegt” logo. The model surprises with an exact reproduction of all relevant details of the model machine, attached front and handle bars as well as delicate current collectors and insulators. The built-in, striking train destination indicators, like the cab lighting and the taillights, can be controlled digitally.
For this purpose, the model has a PSD XP sound decoder ex works and is equipped with the largest possible loudspeaker.
The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital centers, a new quality mark “fits mfx®” was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx® test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
