Novelty 2022:

On May 1st, 1992, the Wilfer family acquired PIKO from the trust. That was when PIKO Spielwaren GmbH was born.

For the 30th anniversary, the H0 Expert model of the class 101 is an attractively designed special locomotive that is being produced as a one-off and in a limited edition.

The two sides of the model are printed differently and are therefore both an eye-catcher on every layout and an attractive collector's item.

The single-spar pantographs have been reproduced in an extremely filigree manner.
Sharply engraved bogies round off the visual appearance.
Brake hoses that can be upgraded are included as a complement. A powerful 5-pole motor ensures free travel. Equipped with two flywheel masses, the PIKO BR 101 stands out with its extremely smooth running. Two diagonally mounted traction tires provide traction when moving forward. The technical highlight is the built-in driver's cab and driver's desk lighting.
The light changes depending on the direction of travel in red/white, of course using the latest LED technology. In digital mode, these functions can be switched separately. This is controlled by a PluX 22 decoder.
Simple digitization is already prepared by means of a plug-in interface.
