Description
This Bachmann 4-8-2 Light Mountain with sound and DCC captures the powerful looks of the prototype. Designed by the USRA for service during WWI, the 4-8-2 Mountain proved to be equally at home in passenger and fast freight service. Based on the Light version of the popular prototype, this ready-to-run model features excellent detail, a completely hidden drive train, working headlight and many separately applied parts. This Sound Value locomotive comes with the Econami(TM) SoundTraxx(R) DCC sound decoder. Factory-set for 4-8-2 realism, the steam package offers a choice of 16 whistles, multiple variations of 6 bell types, 4 prototypical chuffs, 5 airpumps, and 4 dynamos plus cylinder cocks, grade crossing signal, blowdown, brake squeal/release, coupling and uncoupling, water stop, and "All aboard!" coach doors-all in 16-bit polyphonic sound. This locomotive also features engine and tender electrical pickup and E-Z Mate(R) Mark II knuckle couplers on the pilot and tender.
