With digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-performance propulsion with a flywheel in the boiler. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. Locomotive and tender largely constructed of metal. Smoke unit installed as standard, with speed-dependent, dynamic smoke emission. Triple headlights change over with the direction of travel in conventional operation and digitally controllable. Additionally, two red lights at the front of the locomotive can be digitally controlled. Cab lighting and chassis lighting can be digitally controlled separately. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. With buffer storage. Close coupling with kinematics between the locomotive and tender. A close coupling with kinematics on the tender with an NEM shaft. Minimum radius for operation: 360 mm. For large radii or display cases, a panel without a wheel cutout is included for replacement below the cab. Piston rod protection tubes and brake hoses are also included.

Prototype: Express steam locomotive 18 314 with oil-fired main firing and oil-fired tender
2'2'T34 of the German State Railways of the GDR (DR/GDR). Rebuilt version as an experimental locomotive of the VES-M Halle (Saale). Version with a Reko boiler and partial fairing, based on the steam locomotive 18 314 (former Badische IVh). With Witte smoke deflectors and one-sided induction. Operating condition around 1968.
