Prototype:

Class 52 heavy freight steam locomotive with rigid-frame tender K4 T30 of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Black/red livery. Witte smoke deflectors. Leading wheelset with solid wheels.

Locomotive road number 52 6884.
Operating condition circa 1951.

Model:

With mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion with flywheel in the boiler. 5 axles powered. Traction tires. Locomotive and rigid-frame tender largely made of metal. Equipped for smoke generator 7226. Directional two-light headlights and retrofittable smoke generator operate conventionally; digitally switchable. Cab lighting is also digitally switchable. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white LEDs. With energy storage.

Close coupling with kinematics between locomotive and tender.

Kinematic close coupling with NEM coupler pocket at the rear of the tender and at the front of the locomotive. Buffer height according to NEM standards. Minimum radius for operation: 360 mm. Piston rod protection tubes, brake hoses, and screw coupling imitations are included. Length over buffers: 26.4 cm.
