Thanks to its powerful motor with precisely balanced flywheels, the PIKO model of the 219 impresses with smooth running and considerable tractive effort. The locomotive, nicknamed "U-boat" because of its porthole windows, is as finely detailed in its design and color scheme as it is in its mechanical precision.

The model comes equipped with a PSD XP decoder with sound and a variety of functions.
