Electric locomotive series 112 311 of the DB, Era IV

The electric express train locomotives of the series 112 were developed from the modified series E 10 and boasted top speeds of 160 km/h. The 112 311 was the last locomotive in the series to be painted in the characteristic red/beige color scheme, which is also harmoniously reproduced in the model. In addition, the PIKO model takes into account all of the locomotive's structural features and impresses on the system with its excellent driving characteristics.
The PIKO 112 comes with a suitable PIKO PSD XP sound decoder ex works and has numerous digitally switchable functions. The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centers, a new quality mark "fits mfx®" was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the quality mark "fits mfx®", which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
