Model scenes often impress with small gags and surprises that you would not guess at first glance. Exactly such a gag is the falling tree. The surprise of the spectators is great when an imposing, 17 cm high tree unexpectedly falls to the ground at the edge of the model forest. The trick behind it is very simple: there is a servo under the tree that realistically lets it fall to the ground, first slowly, then faster, until it finally hits the ground with a slight rocking motion. After approx. 8 seconds, the tree straightens itself up again on its own. The Falling Tree is an impressive, extremely realistic, handcrafted twisted wire tree that is elaborately flocked.
