The IBW of the TT model track has been revised. In terms of optics and technology, this revision was based on the three-way switch, i.e. the center pieces are now made of metal.
In addition to a significant visual improvement, this has another advantage: The frogs can be supplied with power, which ensures optimum power consumption, especially for short locomotives and when driving slowly. As with the three-way turnout, the frogs are initially de-energized and can be polarized with the aid of the motorized underfloor drive or, if the above-floor drives are used, with a relay. Furthermore, the new IBW receives new, improved switch blades.
