New for 2021:
With the newly designed PIKO BR 83.10 of the DR, there is now for the first time an operational large-scale model of this extraordinary locomotive type. In keeping with the particularity of the prototype, the finely detailed PIKO model can also present itself as an outstanding locomotive. The distinctive three-domed locomotive with triple headlights impresses with its superbly successful implementation of the original proportions and comes up with a large number of separately attached parts, including many fine lines, smoke deflectors, bells, whistles, lids on the water boxes, alternator, steps to the buffer beam , Ladders, hand bars, heating cables and sand pipes. The fine spoked wheels, the filigree controls and the detailed cab interior make the locomotive an eye-catcher on the layout. The PIKO BR 83.10 is also technically state-of-the-art and has driver's cab lighting, landing gear lighting, LED headlights and the option of equipping the locomotive with a smoke generator. The powerful engine, in combination with 2 built-in traction tires, ensures sufficient tractive power for all prototypical train combinations.
The sound locomotives also have a factory-fitted smoke generator. Brake hoses, tow hooks and long protective tubes are included with the model.
