Description
Grain elevators are one of the most common rail-served businesses. Steel-sided elevators appeared early in the 20th century when corrugated metal siding became an affordable exterior building material. Many older wooden elevators were later resided with metal as it was more weather -resistant and less flammable. You'll still see buildings like the Valley Growers Association along the tracks today.
The easy-to-build styrene kit includes the main elevator structure, a storage building and scale house, all molded in realistic colors. A variety of decals are included so you can add realistic signs and lettering. Elevator: 4-3/8" x 5-3/8" x 6"Storage Building: 2-3/4" x4-1/4" x 2-1/4"
